Where are you finding Ctrl-Q is a command key for quoting a message?i use curses video mode. there you have Ctrl-Q for disconnect
Editor is the Slyedit IceStyle. when i switch to X11 video mode in syncterm program settings i don't have Ctrl-Q collision anymore.

For me, SyncTerm's hangup hotkey has always been Alt-H. I've never seen SyncTerm use Ctrl-Q for hangup..Seems to be only Ctrl-Q in video output mode curses and ansi as of syncterms manual.
What editor are you using? In SlyEdit, in addition to Ctrl-Q, you can also type /q on an empty line and press enter to open the quote window (and you can press ESC to close it when you're done selecting lines to quote).Ok, thats a workaround i did not know about yet. Thanks!
