BFIND.EXE (8.06):  Allows Boolean-type
FIND requests.  For example, find any
line with one string AND another one, or
any line with one string OR another.
Also allows wildcarded input file names.
Freeware.

CHANGE.EXE (8.06):  Processes
change commands in files.  Files
can be of any size and type (binary
or text) and are processed quickly.
Up to thirty change commands can be
processed in a single pass.  Also
provides ability to remove trailing
spaces from text files.  Freeware.

View two files at the same time or Search (mode)
for differences. Two Double View formats are
"Split Screen" or "Interlace".  "HiLite"

fragtalk.exe is a line-question-program 
to collect Ideas in an unordered 
sequence without viewing older answers, 
so that the user can create new ideas 
or formulations which not be influenced 
from the older answers. The userdefined
questions are printed separate in a
random or cyclical sequence on the

(v4.2) GREP: Find regular expressions in files

This filter is a greatly enhanced
replacement for DOS FIND and is similar
to UNIX grep. Finds all lines containing
(or NOT containing) one or more strings
or regular expressions in one or more
files. Returns user-configurable value
in errorlevel for batch programs.

Runs in plain DOS and DOS under Win
95/98/NT; the protected-mode version
uses long filenames. There is no special
installation procedure.

LA makes it easy for you to rearrange the order of lines in
a document.  Using a text editor or word processor, you have
to mark the line from the beginning to the end, copy it,
then paste/move the line to the new location.  With LA, you
simply move the cursor (only moves up or down) to the line
that you want to relocate, press "C" (Copy), move the cursor
to where you want to place it, and press "P" (Paste).  It's
that simple!  Note: You can only move one line at a time.

Extract parts from a text file for a new file, or from a file.
"Marked" lines/parts are put into a new file.
"From a File", creates a new file with all the orginal lines
except the "Marked" lines.
Note: The original file is never altered.
