This utility (CP) generates code  for skill enhancement of the radio amateur. Not  intended for the  beginner as we feel that the initial character learning should  be done under under the guidance of an experienced amateur. We must add that NEVER learn morse in graphic DOT and DASH format. Improperly learnt code is very difficult to correct later. However a seperate menu is provided for the beginner, this format is the way we teach morse here

HamComm is a program for ham radio communications.  It supports reception and transmission of radio teletype (RTTY), AMTOR ARQ/FEC SITOR A/B, NAVTEX and Morse code (CW) signals.  A decoder for SHIP and SYNOP reports from weather stations is also included HamComm does not require an RTTY converter, not even a modem chip The audio output of the transceiver is connected to the serial port of any PC/XT/AT compatible computer thru a very simple low-cost interface Only one IC is needed (Op-Amp LM741 or similar) and a few diodes capacitors and resistors.  For transmission the speaker output is connected to the microphone input of the transceiver thru a passive r/c filter.  There is also a tone signal available at the COM port without any modification to the computer.  Audio frequency decoding and serial/parallel conversion are all done in software HamComm will automatically detect the type of video adapter in use MDA, CGA, EGA, VGA and Hercules are supported.  All graphics routines are written in assembler for speed.  No attempt has been made to avoid screen flicker (snow) on cheap CGAs HamComm works to some degree on XT maschines, but the graphics displays of the input signal are more fun to watch on an AT-class computer.  Nearly all of the functions can also be controlled by using a mouse.  A harddisk is recommended but not required.  All texts are written in english and the online help system includes the schematics for the interface circuit.  There are also predefined standard phrases, a QTH distance/direction calculator and a callsign decoder.  Currently about 370KB of free ram is required HamComm will probably NOT run under any kind of multitasking software like Desqview, Windows, Windows NT or OS/2.  It needs direct control of the interrupt controller, timer chip and serial I/O hardware

This programme was written to control the rig when sending CW. With this program your concentration can be directed towards producing a good chat, while the machine takes over routine keying It was made to be as short and simple as possible, and was intended to be run from DOS. It is possible to use a very simple PC, but a hard disk makes life easier It is not recommended to be run from any integrated environment like Windows, Windows 95 or OS2. Only with DOS it gives the very exact timing of the Morse code that it was constructed for. It is possible to run a very fast CW with this programme With a PC and a tape recorder it is possible to make your own CW training tape. You can also practice the code with any text written in standard DOS formate When sending or receiving with your rig, you simply write on the keyboard. You can always (and as well as that) go over to the CW key whenever you like. What you write on the keyboard is stored in the log-file, which you can save or not at the end of your session as you like

Morse Receive is a general purpose morse sounding program, which will accurately sound morse from 5 to 99 WPM, Paris Test. The program will sound ASCII files as morse code and will accept input from the keyboard for type written reception.  Type written transcription will be marked at the completion of morse sounding. The suggested speed increments for improving morse reception speed are 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20 and 22 WPM A symbol speed of 18 or 20 WPM should be used. EXTRAPLUS is intended primarily for amateurs who have passed all the code exams and want to improve their CW operating skills. The executable and text files in EXTRAPLUS are used to create files for input to code training software similar to GGTE's Morse Tutor Gold (MTG). For those who lack this type of software, a very unsophisticated program has been provided to transmit these files through the computer speaker Amateurs who have not reached the 20 WPM level and have access to MTG-like software will find EXTRAPLUS a useful tool in their efforts to upgrade.
