FDLOG was designed to provide an efficient and simple dupe checking and logging program for the ARRL Field Day contest. It has been optimized for the fast paced "search and pounce" operating style where the operator continually scans the band, dupe checking each CQ heard for new contacts. A major design goal was optimum execution speed, allowing the single operator/logger to dupe-check and respond to the CQ as quickly as the calling station sends the last letter of his call sign. Every consideration was given to minimizing keystrokes when entering contact data. For instance after keying in a call, only the ENTER key is required to dupe-check the call, clear all fields of an incomplete contact move to the next field, enter the record, or clear the record and reset for the next contact after a dupe is confirmed. The program is intended to be completely intuitive and transparent in its use allowing a proficient single operator/logger to dispense with pencil and paper altogether. By avoiding the use of function keys and difficult keystroke combinations, the novice or casual once-a year contester quickly becomes a proficient logger. As in all designs, this one has a few trade-offs: Program size, efficiency and performance was the goal here, rather than maximum flexibility and features, multi-contest ability and color graphics. This allows the program to be used with the broadest range of portable and older equipment likely to show up on field day. Text (mode 7 B/W video (only) is sup- ported. A number of critical editor and display driver func- tions share the $B000-$B800 'visible memory buffer area in order to optimize performance while minimizing program size. The program is NOT compatible with CGA or earlier B/W video. The entire executable program was kept below 64k bytes as a design objective, allowing 64k+ bytes of data space in a 128k byte ram machine

FIELDDAY.EXE is a simple logging and dupe checking program for the ARRL's annual Field Day competition. While it does not take into account multipliers, it records the band, the mode, the time, day and date, and the other station's classification, and the score for each contact. Dupe sheets and Log sheets can be printed at any time. Dupe and Log sheets include the number of contacts made, and the total number of points for that band and mode. The whole database may be browsed through at any time in order to find and/or correct any QSO Full mouse support is built in. Users of this program who do not use a mouse, can use the key to move between fields. SHIFT- moves throught the fields in reverse order

HyperLog is an Amateur Radio logging program designed to make the Hams" life easier by organiz- ing contact, WAS, WAZ, and DXCC information and displaying it in an easy to read format. It also displays other help- ful data on screen during a QSO. The program provides previous contact retrieval using a very fast B+ tree indexed search technique and displays these contacts in a scrolling window on the main screen as well as a full screen complete database browser. Bearing and distance details are provided by decoding the prefix of the call sign to determine the country or state and then looking up the correct latitude and longitude coordinates in a table. These coordinates, as well as your local coordinates, are then fed to a Great Circle calculation routine to obtain bearing and distance information

PSQSL was written for hams who send out large numbers of QSL cards via the ARRL Outgoing QSL Service or other QSL shipment service Many hams use logging programs such as CT, NA, LOG-EQF, or their own programs for generating stick-on labels for QSLs. These programs can save hours of work writing out QSL cards, but hours of tedious sorting remain after printing out the labels. PSQSL takes output QSL label files from a variety of logging programs as well as QSO information entered from within the program, and creates a single sorted label file. The labels are sorted by DXCC country In addition, cards for countries not handled by the outgoing QSL service are separated from those that are handled. Since the list of countries in the DXCC program as well as prefixes and countries serviced by the ARRL Outgoing QSL Service change from time to time a file containing countries, prefixes, etc., can be updated by the user

Super-Duper for Listeners is derived from SD and is designed specifically for the receiving side of the RSGB IOTA contest SDL is efficient at logging and editing, and at helping you take decisions about your operating strategy

Windows WAS MAP is a computerized version of the blank US maps that for a long time hams have loved to color in as they work new states. There is increased interest in working all states on various bands and modes with awards for 5 Band WAS, Single Bands SSB, CW, OSCAR, SSTV, RTTY, etc. Windows WAS MAP gives you a colorful display of your "states worked status" for each of 20 types of WAS Awards. It is designed to be run entirely with a mouse; however shortcut keys are provided. It can easily be used to keep track of your status It works with manual record keeping as easily as with computer logs. (You set each state with a simple mouse click). I keep my cards in a file cabinet and use Windows WAS MAP to keep track of the status. It will also save the call and date for any state/band you input. Since it is a Windows program you can have it quickly available to check your status by running it in the background and using Alt. Tab to retrieve it Load up Windows WAS MAP and start keeping track of your status as you work toward various WAS awards
