                                 for call ID
                              by Luther Elness
            ---------------------------------------------------------
         PURPOSE
To display the last ten callers and thier phone numbers for
verification with caller ID. Silly how these callers think
they are hidding behind thier computers when they lie about
thier phone numbers isn't it. Some callers although do have
a separate line for thier computer than thier voice line so
some will vary - but there are some idiots out there! Even
if you don't have call ID this program can be used to just
display the last ten callers on screen after log-offs.
This program was wrote for Spitfire BBS software but you may
be able to configure it for others.

         USAGE
Edit the SFLOGON.BAT (Executed right after a caller finishes
loging on properly) to run the LASTCALL program, which reads
the CALLERS.TMP file and creates a CALLER.DAT file witch will
include the callers name and baud rate for the main program
to compare against the NAME.DAT file.
           (eg. SFLOGON.BAT)
             @ECHO OFF
             LASTCALL
Then edit the SFINIT.BAT (Executed right after a caller logs
off) to run the NAME.EXE program which will read CALLER.DAT
and compare it against NAME.DAT to pull up the extra data and
display it with the data from the LAST10.DAT file.
           (eg. SFINIT.BAT)
             @ECHO OFF
LASTTEN (If you use a bulletin generator)
             NAME
After the screen saver kicks in you can hit F5 to briefly call
up the 'Daily Statistics' to view the display.

         PREPARATION (With Spitfire and SFM)
Use the 'Dupe Catcher' in the 'Duplicate Caller Scanner Menu'
and save the callers list to a file (Any sorting option will
work, need not be alphabeticle). Copy all the files included
to the home directory for your BBS. Run the file conversion
utility which strips off the header and misc. data not used.
You will need to do this occasionally to add the new callers.
Specify the name you used to save the file as a command line
           parameter, eg.
              CONVERT FILENAME.EXT
This will create a database called NAME.DAT that is used to
find all the data for each caller.

WITHOUT SFM you may have to edit a NAME.DAT file yourself.
Each line of the file is for one caller (If you have 312
callers the file should be 312 lines). Each line has a max
size of 52 characters (Including spaces). The callers name
must start at collumn 16 and appear exactly as the CALLERS.TMP
file will list it. Any other info (eg. phone number) should
be before collumn 15 and after collumn 40.
           (eg. caller line)
User Sec Name Phone # <==NOT IN FILE
  312 100 Jon Doe 218-123-4567
    ^5 ^12 ^16 ^40 ^52(MAX!)
           (Only leading characters uppercase)

         FILES INCLUDED
CONVERT.EXE For use with SFM to create data file
LASTCALL.EXE Reads current caller for appending
NAME.EXE Main data handling and display file
           LAST10.TXT This here file

P.S. The display box will at first appear funny until
10 callers have filled the last 10 data file!
