[ Introduction ]

Every now and then I've seen someone request a better way of customising
the file list format for RemoteAccess in the RA support echoes, but there had
never been such a program available. Enter DCT ListFormat/RA. This program
provides an easy and intuitive method of designing your own file list format
without having to memorise any codes or run RA locally to see the what the
list format will look like. This program is, of course, freeware.

[ Program Execution ]

Simply run LISTFMT.EXE without any parameters from any directory to
configure the list format. You must be running RemoteAccess 2.xx for the
program to work. If LISTFMT has trouble locating your CONFIG.RA file, set
the RA environment variable to resolve the problem. You will then be
presented with an editing screen at which you may customise the format.
Every time you make a change to the string, you will right away see what the
listing would look like below the input field. The following keys may be
pressed to accomplish different tasks:

  [ESC] Exit
        - Exits the program, asking you if you would like to save or discard
          your changes.

  [F1] Insert colour code
        - A pop-up window will appear, where you may select which colour code
to insert at the current cursor position. Pressing [ESC] in this
          window will not insert anything.

  [F2] Insert macro
        - A picklist will appear, where you may select a macro to insert at
the current cursor position. Please consult RA.DOC for a detailed
description of what each macro does.

  [F3] Tag Colour
        - A pop-up window will appear, where you may select which colour you
would like the file tag numbers to appear in. Pressing [ESC] in
this window will leave the colour unchanged.

  [F4] Restore default format
        - This will restore the default format as defined by me. :) It's
actually a pretty nice listing format if you'd care to take a look.

To edit the missing file list format, run LISTFMT /M. LISTFMT /? will
display a brief help screen.
