INTRODUCTION
------------>>>
Space Quest 2112 started back in the old day of the BBS just like many door games.
It was quite popular and extremely well liked. Then, as most of you know, a Nuke
hit the BBS world and this Nuke had a name, The Internet. Well, the smoke and dust
has settled and new BBS life is growing back.

SQ2112 was a dos game w/ only Com support back in the old days. The new BBS packages
of today relies on doors that offer fossil support. This once again doomed SQ2112.
So the search for the original programmer started. My original goal was to find the
programmer, ask if he/she still had the source code in hopes that they could code in
fossil support. This would enable it to once again live on the modern BBS software
of today.

After a few months of looking around on the Internet I found her. And I was quite
surprised that not only did she pick the SQ2112 program back up, but it was ported to
32bit code and a telnet game server was also implemented.

FEATURES
-------->>>
- ANSI Color and Mono screens
- Full realtime multi-node support
- No need for Com or FOSSIL support. Just a Internet connection!
- Pure 32bit SQGS Runs on Windows 9x, ME, NT, win2k.
- Easy installation and low Maintenance.
- Good Integration to a BBS that offers access to other telnet servers

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
--------------------->>>
Space Quest 2112 is not your typical Little Old Lady type of game. It's a real
time graphically intense door game with multiple people wiping out planets, taking
over star ships, trading at star ports, warping through worm holes, etc.

It's to early in development for SQGS to have exact specks. But here is some of my
testing experiences:

P-II 333, 256ram running win2k pro:
4 connections = FAST game speed
6 connections = Small amount of slowdown starting to show
10 connections = Larg amount of slowdown and lag starting to show.
CPU would be around 80% with 10 users. Spiking now and then. Looks to be a bandwidth
problem.

P-III 866, 256ram running win98:
4 connections = Again FAST game speed.
6 connections = Small amount of slowdown starting to show
10 connections = Some amount of slowdown and lag starting to show.
CPU would be around 75% with 10 users. Spiking now and then. Looks to be a bandwidth
problem.

Please send me your config and test results!

REGISTRATION
------------>>>
Please visit the official web page for SQGS for all registration information
located at http://x-bit.org/sq2112.htm
At the time of this doc:

2  connections = Free
5  connections = $10
50 connections = $25

FAQ
--->>>

Q: Can I run this program just like a door? I see door32.sys support in the config menu?
A: No, not yet. This is work in progress. But, many BBS programs of today can offer
   Telneting to other systems. So, you can be running your BBS and SQGS on the same
   computer, just different ports.

Q: Why is there only one FAQ?
A: Access http://x-bit.org/sq2112.htm for more :)
